I'm sure many of you have heard of the spiders of the genus Deinopis, commonly referred to as Net-casting Spiders or Ogre-faced Spiders. Well a few days ago, I was doing some research into them, and I stumbled upon Deinopis spinosa, a spider apparently native to Southeastern North America, including my home state of South Carolina! I would absolutely love to find, and potentially raise one of these beautiful spiders. It is the spider species I want above all others. I actually currently do own a spider, a Mexican Flameleg Tarantula I named Hookfang. I've had her for almost 5 and a half years, and she's almost as big as my hand. So I'm definitely no stranger to owning spiders. Has anyone ever seen a Deinopis spinosa before? And of so, where in in what environment did you find it in? Thanks for any information that can be offered.
