Formiculture.com is a site for anyone interested in Myrmecology and all aspects of finding, keeping, and studying ants. We would like to thank Reacker for coming up with the name of the site; I couldn't think of anything good, so I'm glad he did. We'd also like to thank Alex Wild at www.alexanderwild.com for allowing us to use a few of his amazing pictures in the background of our header. This website and forum is free to use. We are hosted on a dedicated server, which means there shouldn't be any of the constant interruptions you sometimes get from shared hosting or a lot of the free forum websites out there. This also gives us complete control over the software, hardware, and content of the site. Some may ask how we can do this, and basically the answer is that we just have access to those kinds of resources because of our professions. We always welcome everyone's input on how to improve Formiculture.com, so please use the "Forum Support, Feedback & Suggestions" topic to post your suggestions/issues. This hopefully can be a place where everyone interested in ants can come and feel welcome without having to worry about breaking any overly strict grammar rules or anything else that may discourage you from joining the community. Here we just ask that you follow our very simple and short list of rules and that's it. We recognize the value in every member and the content they contribute to the forum, so for the benefit of everyone interested in this hobby/profession, we want to do everything we can to keep our members happy.
