C. Hyatti found apr 29.
Found 18 queens right as they finished flying on a trail in one spot no bigger then a couple hundred feet, found close to the American river in an oak forest kinda environment, close to the "Mississippi bar".
I would of grabbed more and there were lots lots more. But I ran out of capsules to keep them in.
Today is may 3rd. Over the last few days I have had 2 die probably just because they were injured while capturing them. The rest seem to have already started playing eggs a ton already have 2. A few have 3 most have 2 eggs each.
This is gonna be fun keeping them these were the first wild caught queens I have ever found. along side the other camponotus species.
I got super lucky.
