I mean you could try, do not take that as advice. They might throw the ants in the trash though. That would be very sad.

I'm going go attempt to contact TSA tomorrow, I'll let everyone know what they say. I'm sure they will be confused XD

Under normal circumstances I would just let it be, but if I TSA isn't annoying, I want to trade with someone near Pasadena who I have worked something out with.

I don't understand some of you people, I know it sucks, but sell your ants before you move to another state, don't be stupid and try to take them with you. Anyone who thinks is alright to take your ants to another state cares more about him/herself than the environment which gave you those wonder insects. Just sell and buy new ones.

No one here is talking about moving ants out of state.

It is illegal on a boat. It is illegal in your coat.

It is illegal in a plane, car, and train. Why must you be such a pain?

I do not care if it is in your hair. Do not put your queen ants there!

Guys I'm pretty sure OP had a legitimate question. Responding with yes or no was enough.

"People!" he perilously pants,

"I am the Ant-rax, I speak for the ants.

I speak for the ants, for the ants have no tongues.

And I'm asking you, people, because this is making me numb"

Did your parents drop you more than once? Why are you so dumb?

Juuust waiting for the coffee to kick in.

Edit:
But in all seriousness I'm not sure why I have this secret closet enjoyment for The Lorax. Perhaps some repressed childhood memories of watching it fondly. No, I have not watched the "new" one, but I have watched the "How bad can I be" video enough times over. Dr. Seuss was a clever, clever fellow.

Ok, so I changed my mind. I'm going to at least try to take some. My new question is, will the carry on X-ray harm ants? I'm sure TSA won't care, but I'm worried about how the ants will handle it. Anyone with greater intellect than me know if they will be alright?

Yes, X-rays have been proven to give ants super powers.
