I got some queens at a flight that occurred on the 20th. Four species overall, as far as I can tell.

The only cotton I had was terrible, thus a lot of fiber. I suspect the queens might get tangled in it.

1. Location of collection: Split, Croatia, street, all over town

2. Date of collection: 20th June 2018. 23:00 h
3. Habitat of collection: city block
4. Length : 5mm

5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: orange
6. Distinguishing characteristics : a dot on the underside of gaster maybe? not sure.
7. Anything else distinctive:
8. Nest description : n/a.
9 . Post the clearest pictures possible:

The first queen I'm going to say Pheidole sp. perhaps Pheidole balcanica.

The second queen looks like Lasius fuliginosus or maybe a similar species?

The third I think is Lasius sp. Once workers arrive it will become clear.

These are all just my educated guesses (or lack thereof).
