Northern Serbia, 15th of June (Queen, possibly worker ID thread)

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Northern Serbia
2. Date of collection: 15th of June, 2018.
3. Habitat of collection: House Wall
4. Length (from head to gaster): 6mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black head, reddish thorax, black gaster with silver-lined hues ( visible on pics )
6. Distinguishing characteristics:  X
7. Distinguishing behavior: X
8. Nest description: X

9. Nuptial flight time and date: 15th of June?

No queen, Formica sp. worker, could be Formica cunicularia worker, but I am not sure.

 

Why do you use spoilers, I think it is not very good since you only see one picture at once. For helping with ID comparing pictures is quite important ;)

But you can open multiple spoilers at same time, just might have to scroll a bit down, also thanks for ID

Yep you are right, but still now reason to hide pictures in my opinion. Spoilers make sense if you know the species and want the others to guess, than you could use spoilers but just my two ant eggs.

Looks like a formica rufibarbis worker.

Looks like a formica rufibarbis worker.

 

Yep could be, I am also not sure, but rufibarbis have a more reddish thorax
