While filming a video for YouTube I noticed that all of the ants I was feeding sugar water to had some stuck to their necks either intentionally or on accident after feeding. This was the first time I had ever fed them sugar water, and this never happened with honey. I've heard of Harvester Ants using hairs on the neck to carry seeds, but it looks like my ants are carrying sugar back to their nest, or maybe it's just a coincidence. Here's a clip of it happening to one ant, but I saw many more walk back to the nest like this.
