Hey Guys n Gals,
i have a similar situation that T.C. had a couple years ago on my Camponotus Pennsylvanicus queen. She is really skinny post hibernation. She has 1 worker about a dozen eggs and 1 larvae. any tips on how to fatten her up rather quickly so she can get healthy enough to get back to doing what she's supposed to be doing? They are currently in a fresh test tube as the last one was getting rather filthy. Last night i attempted to place a drop of (crushed crickets, water and honey mix) as a post hibernation meal and it turned out disastrous. When i tried to easily apply the drop with a medicine dropper it squirted everywhere in the tube including on the brood. ughhh worst mistake ever. So i setup a new tube and taped them together. They moved into the new tube overnight. I wanna fatten the ol girl up quickly.
thanks peeps.
