Welcome to Fomiculture.
Also, feel free to assist us in the Wakka War (just don't fall to the persuasion of T.C. and the anti-Wakkas).

I think you should keep the sandbox in the sandbox.

Nice to meet you, fellow beetle enthusiast! Your state, Arizona, is home to what I call the "Top 4-" Dynastes granti(Grant's hercules beetle), Chrysina sp.(Jewel scarab, Beyer's jewel scarab, glorious jewel scarab), Megasoma punctulatud(?) Or Megasoma vogti(?), and I believe Xyloryctes thestalus. Be on the lookout for D. Granti, the adults make awesome pets and the males arw amazing! I have D. Tityus in my state, which is harder to find. You can also find some nice looking and comical Eleodes sp. as well. Good luck ant(and beetle) keeping!I'm here to learn my interest has been peak further more by antscanada. Already a Beetle enthusiast.
Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7 It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8 yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Welcome to the forum! I love beetles because they're so easy to keep. Just have to make sure you have enough substrate for the larvae, haha. You'll find most of us try to help with what knowledge we have.
