1. Location (on a map) of collection: Marion, IN
2. Date of collection: 4/27/18
3. Habitat of collection: Neighborhood (woods)
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~7mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Dark red with black gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Doesn't have antennae
7. Distinguishing behavior: Commonly seen foraging and are relatively aggressive
8. Nest description: Grassy lawn beside a maple tree

9. Nuptial flight time and date: August-September

 

 

 

 

I can get more workers and pictures if need be.

antennal scapes are sometimes important, can you get any pictures of those?
