They arrived via mail yesterday and boy was I was happy. They came with a BONUS MESSOR QUEEN, some beetle jelly, anti escape liquid (not sure what is in it) and some assorted seeds.

surprisingly, only one worker from the tetraponera died, the two queens seemed happy. Whilst opening the cotton plug however, I got stung, they hurt like *@#)*(#@*$I@ (not as much as leptogenys). They have some larvae of various stages.

The camponotus sustained heavier casualties, with about 6 workers dying. they smelled weird and I noticed that when they were picked up, they would secrete some white stuff. The queen was one of the biggest ants I have seen before roughly 2.3cm. the majors were about 1.8cm and they all had a brilliant red head. They have one egg.

The messor is actually quite small, she has 3 eggs and is in a test tube setup. Vendor is such a nice guy  :) .
