[Ants Galore]

I've been surfing the internet looking for good macro lens for a while, but I still don't understand what is a good macro lens to get. I saw some on amazon for 13$ and 0.4x whatever that means. Should I get it? If not, what should I get? Can I have an example of a 0.4x picture? 🙏 Thanks!

taken with my iPhone 6s and a clip on 15x macro lens from Amazon 

 

 

This is the lens kit I got, the other stuff is cool but not necessary

I'm not sure what they mean by 0.4x but that would be a very low magnification. Can you post the link?

If you're in the market for an iPhone attachment, I'd recommend checking out Olloclip. They lenses are pricey, but the results are professional and it's still much cheaper than dishing out an arm and a leg for a DSLR.

.4x talks about the wide angle lens which is nice for taking pictures or videos of larger scenes like the beach or an open field. 

They don't seem to specify the magnification of the macro. In my experience the 15x works well, I tried at 25x and it was too much and I was having trouble getting it to focus on the ants in the tubes.
