I got my first nanitics ever! So excited! Two appeared overnight.

They are at the limit of what my phone's camera can do I think. :P
Closer inspection of the other tubes revealed another one with a different queen. I guess this makes me one of you guys now ;)

Looks like a Pheidole queen.

Note: Correct spelling is nanitic (rhymes with parasitic, syphilitic, etc. :) )

Arthritic, semitic, acidic, analytic, paralytic—couldn't think of anything else to rhyme with other than parasites and syphilis? lol

I gave some honey on a toothpick. That was all. I am hoping to see an antsplosion some time soon. This is the colony I had offered for testing one of your designs.
Oh, there are about 16 of them in there. I got a video but was unable to upload.

16 nanitics? That sounds like a rather prolific species, confirming Pheidole.

Actually sounds like Liometopum... :P But this is a Pheidole.
