Well, I work full time so that doesn't leave much time for hobbies, but here are some things that I like to fill the time.

Walking the dog (I usually walk at least an hour or three if the weather isn't too cold).  I also sell dog treats on the side, bullysticks and dried tendons.

Gardening and just being outside in general.

Sunday school (getting the lessons for sunday school ready).

Getting back into crocheting slippers again (apparently it must be getting cold outside  :D )

Craft fair (I have a craft fair with silver and opal jewelry).

I also enjoy working with wood in the garage, whether building a shelf or something smaller.

Used to be into aquariums, bred at least a dozen species of fish and had a 90 gallon planted tank.  I even line bred a strain of guppies.  I used to have 14 aquariums, now I am down to just one.

Cooking and Cleaning (not sure if I want to count these as hobbies, but I sure seem to do a lot in this category....)

And I somehow fit family and ants into that somewhere......

I like that list. I've been into RC stuff for many years, just recently got back into it. I've never had anything but cars/trucks, but certainly have looked at others. Are you one of those crazy skilled RC helicopter pilots?

My main hobby has always been PC building but as of late it has shifted to anting.

My other minor hobbies include RC submarine, drinking while watching my fav movies or drama, Server related stuff ( I have like 10 2U & 4U server cases ), and playing Crusader Kings 2 & Football Manager 2014. I have over 1600+ hours logged on CR2 and 770 hours on FM 2014 according to Steam. I am a Manchester United fan.

I am also heavily interested in history but I have selective interests.

HA! No way, I'm still trying to get it off and back to the ground in one piece. That's kind of been on hold since ants have taken over my free time though.

Skateboarding... that was my life for a good decade. But I'm old and don't heal the same now. I did happen to be watching some youtube videos today though. :pleasantry: A few others that get my attention now and then:

- Electronics/radios/DIY stuff

- Rocks and rockhounding (I am also a geologist!)

- Guitar (need better patience)

- Other animals/pets

- Camping

- Guns and target shooting

Wow I skateboarded for about that long too, and I too am a little too old to do it now.  I amazingly have never broken a bone.

Amazing, I am or have been into every one of those things too.

BTW, Anhzor is a geologist also. As anxious as you seem to be about finding some queens, you should go with us on some of our "anting" missions next summer.

I started my list and it was getting long so I realized I should come up with a short-list. Like dspdrew, I am or have been into many of the things in this post (with the exception of "street art" :D ) So here is my short-list:

- Mountain biking any chance I get

- I am a private pilot

- I do a lot sailing off the coast here in So Cal in the summer

- RC cars/trucks, boats and quadcopters

- Photography

- Shooting and building guns

Where do you fly out of? That's one of my goals in the near future.

I used to fly almost exclusively out of Brackett(POC) field in Pomona but the FBO I used closed it's doors several years ago.  Now I fly out of Fullerton (FUL), Long Beach (LGB) and John Wayne (SNA) depending on what type of AC I want to fly.

Good luck and I hope you are able to start flying!  Let me know if I can answer any questions.
