1. Location (on a map) of collection:

The east coast of south florida, in West Miami
2. Date of collection:

  Late July, around the 28th.
3. Habitat of collection:

Found inside an outside cable splitter box, about 4 feet off the ground. This is in a suburb.
4. Length (from head to gaster):

Queen is about 12 mm, worker about 5. The grid lines in the pictures are 5 mm apart.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture:

I think the pictures should be enough.
6. Distinguishing characteristics:

Both the queen and the worker have banded gasters, and seemingly long legs and antennae.
7. Distinguishing behavior:

None that I'm aware of, since I have never had an ant queen.
8. Nest description:
 None.

Camponotus conspicuus inaequalis. What a beautiful find.
