1. Location (on a map) of collection: Amarillo, TX
2. Date of collection: 7-17-17
3. Habitat of collection: Vacant mowed lot in town
4. Length (from head to gaster):10mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: all red except gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 3? Darker red spots,1 in the middle back, 2 where wings would attach
7. Distinguishing behavior: I have been finding these queens for about 3 weeks now. I actually have several (probably too many) that have eggs
8. Nest description: no known nest

Looks like it is likely in the F. pallidefulva group.

Thanks! That's kind of what I was thinking though I didn't want to embarrass myself by being wrong. I just counted and I now have 16 of these queens, most with lots of brood and 3 or 4 workers. If anyone near Amarillo, TX wants to trade or buy some PM me.
