Here the person uses lemon seeds in water to produce the pheromone that causes ants to move, supposedly.
Does this actually work or did the queen just get flooded out?

It's a myth, it doesn't work with all ants. It mostly works only with tropical ants that are used to flooding and it's a reaction to the flooding not to the lemon.

We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

I've actually tried it with that same exact species, Parathechina longicornis. Didn't work, many many times. Proud to say they didn't bite me a single time, they're such a mild species.

I've tried it a few times with various species nesting in the ground, never worked. :(

Yeah I've tried this too with a number of ant species where I'm at and it never worked.
