Found two alates at 3AM this morning in my carport that had the light turned on. I live in an area surrounded by other houses, which each have their own yards, trees, etc. The alates are 5mm long with a reddish head and mesosoma. Their gasters are a darker red or brown with lighter (yellow?) horizontal stripes.

Thank you in advance for the help!!

It could be Temnothorax sp.

This is definitely Pheidole, could be P. bicarinata.

Definitely Pheidole sp. It's hard to tell the species from queens -- it's best to wait for workers.

Fortunately, they're fully claustral and raise workers pretty fast.
