My first post, be kind :)

I got some Harpegnathos Venator last week, a queen and 10 workers with no brood in the tube they came in. They quickly moved into a Ytong formicarium I made them which is kept at 25/26 degrees and fairly humid conditions. They have a large out world I made myself with a bottom layer of grout and a little soil on top. They have access to water gel and water in a test tube with some cotton. I always make sure there are a couple of small brown crickets in the out world.

The problem is they don't appear to be very active at all. I have yet to see any hunting in the outworld, they like to explore the nest area and I have seen 1 or 2 of them go down the PVC tubing to the outworld but turn around when they get to the end. I have fed them a couple of crickets through the PVC tubing which then wander into their nest, they quickly dispatch them and then all feast but not sure I can keep doing that.

The queen has also not laid any eggs as of yet.

Is this normal behaviour? Should I just be more patient with them or do I need to change things around?

Thanks, this is my first exotic species so keen to make it work.

Not sure if you've read this, but this may help:

They may still be settling in - if you got them about a week ago I think that it can take up to a few weeks before they are truly settled in and the queen starts laying eggs again.
