I caught this prenolepis  nitens queen in my yard during a massive flight in early march. I don't really like this species but I had a test tube left so why not. I had one of these last year too but she was infertile. This one is fertile. I checked on her today and she had some larvae. They're so tiny I can hardly see them. I'll update you guys every Sunday.

Well, P. nitens lives in Europe while P. Imparis lives in North america

Yes, I always see two lines of workers on my cherrie tree. One going up to the aphids and one going down near bursting with honeydew.
