I have 2x messor capitatus queens and they both had their first batch of eggs about a day ago.
So do i need to feed her now or when she gets her first workers i don't know how it works.

Messor capitatus queens found their colonies in a claustral cell.

Meaning you start feeding them once the colony has the first workers.

If you feed seeds don't forget to crush the bigger ones because the colony doesn't have any Majors yet that would crack them.

Until they get their first majors queens crack the seeds.

Because the Messor Capitatus queen is fully Claustral meaning they have fat reserves and you can just feed it sugar water, water, and honey. But no harm in giving it something else.


All my colonies are dead. 

 

 Except:

  

  Pogonomyrmex barbatus

  Pheidole obscurithorax

  Pheidole morens
