1. Location of collection: Fairly urban part of Philadelphia, in South East Pennsylvania.

2. Date of collection: April 13, 2017. Roughly 3:45 pm EST.
3. Habitat of collection: Stone bench/sidewalk, near a small patch of forest.
4. Length: ~1.75-2.25 mm.
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Dark brown, slightly reddish gaster & very light, orange-brown body.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Looks like a mini P. imparis worker with a thinner gaster.
7. Anything else distinctive: Nothing out of the ordinary, I didn't notice any particularly random or sporadic movement.
8. Nest description: NA, didn't see it.

Once again, I was unable to get great pictures but I got a good video. I'm also 95% sure this is Nylanderia terricola— if any of you know when these fly, what the queens are like or how to find the nest, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

Does anyone have any more insight on how I should go about correctly identifying this species? It could either be Nylanderia terricola or N. flavipes.

Well, a quick google search answered your questions.

Hymenoptera-Formicidae-Nylanderia-terric

According to the ant mating chart, there is one report for Feb, one for May, and one for June, however overall the Nylanderia genus flys in May-June.
