the only reason i Tetramorium is because they are only ones i have seen out and about..

This is definitely not Tetramorium, depending on the size (which you should list by the way) it's either a Myrmica sp. or another small Myrmicine like Temnothorax. I'm leaning towards Myrmica because of a guess of size of the container. Beautiful nonetheless.

This is definitely a Myrmica sp., It's ridiculously hard to ID Myrmica species without the right equipment, however this one seems to have a very pronounced colour pattern, you can try researching some Myrmica spp. in your state and see if any of them match. I'd suggest Antweb and Antmaps.
