I could love if someone helps me with my new ant colony.

I'm new in this so I decided that the best way to start is with a colony like this one,but I'm worried because I'm not sure if the formicarium I buyed its ok tor them (the ants came with the formicarium, but still)

I can't find many information about their needs of humidity in internet,so I think this place is the best one to ask.

Also,I'm sorry about my bad english, things of being from spain qwp.

Messor need a dry and a moist portion of the nest (they store the seeds in the dry part and raise the brood in the moist part). And they are EXTREMELY sensitive to vibrations (and light) during their founding stage so it's best to look at them as little as possible.

The good thing is these ants are fully capable of looking after themselves as long as they have a good amount of seeds stored and a reliable water source (and the occasional dead insect). Going on holidays for two weeks won't be an issue with these ants.

Thank you,I've moved them to the place with less vibreation in all the house, the only problem is that the formicarium that i bought its pretty small and I'm not sure if i can make the humidity be very distributed,i'll see if i can take some photo to explain better

They will appreciate a temperature between 24 and 28 degrees, but be careful you don't overheat them (happens very easily even with 15W cables). You can keep them at 20°C, it doesn't harm them but they will develop very very slowly.
