Messing with parasitic species

Hello, so the past hour I have been doing some research on introducing parastatic species to colonies. (Lasius Umbratus to be exact) I attempted the first go, by putting a queen in the out world. She sat at the entrance for a few minutes. However workers beGan to pour out. Soon, the whole outworld was flooded with workers and they overwhelmed and killed the queen. Now, I am thinking a different introductory method. Just a thought, so I don't know if it would work or not.

I would like to take a worker, and put it in a small container with the queen. Naturally, I expect a fight. The queen will more than likely kill the worker, then is it possible she would contract it's scent through this method, and then put it in the outworld?

Just a thought.
