Usually people see ants as just ants!

they don't look for that small differences, a red ant its a fire ant!!

Today i toke a quick walk on my backyard to see how much cleaning i will have to do tomorrow and preparing myself for the spring time here at Florida... I notice some small spots where ants are starting to wake up, a couple if them have the always running angry RIFA, and some have this other big boys that take the life easy and were not worried about me getting close to take pictures or moving the leaves around to see better

The ant in first picture is a yeast/fungus growing species. :D

Probably Trachymyrmex

I was really surprised by the small guys, it was just mere coincidence that i saw them on the sand, there are so small that unless you have eagle eyes or magnifying glass at hand they can be mistaken for debri!!!
