Hello, just wanted to share my mini formicarium that I made. The silicone tube broke while I was using it so there's a little mess.

Looks great! I like the little outworld on the top. How are you going to keep them from getting out? is there a lid?

I like it. Two things you could have done to make it a bit cleaner:

1) Use a piece of glass the fits the whole brick, and then you can make the formicaria bigger (although I understand if that's all you had)

2) Sand the sides of the brick before use. It makes it a lot cleaner.

Yeah this piece of acrylic and the block would go to the trash, I made this hole formicarium using leftovers from my big one that I still making. What do you mean with Sand the sides of the brick?

As in smoothen, a belt sander would work well. To sand (verb) would be the proper way of defining it.

Reviving this just to say that I moved a Camponotus cf. punctulatus into this formicarium. They moved after about 20mins exposed to light. Its hard to get pictures.
