I caught 8 queens when I got to work on May 20th. So far, 4 of them have a pile of eggs. #5 has not laid eggs. #6 mysteriously died. #7 drowned. #8 had her head torn off. 😪

I believe they are T. capaesitium... what do you think?

1. Location of collection: Lynnwood, WA (~15 north of Seattle).
2. Date of collection: May 20, 2015
3. Habitat of collection: An old business park. Lots of concrete with cracks in it.
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~7 to 8 mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Bicolored. Dark brown body, light legs. Gaster has golden yellow sections.
6. Distinguishing characteristics:
7. Anything else distinctive:
8. Nest description: See picture.
