I found a TON in Palmdale and palm desert when I went out. They are all over that area along with thousands of colonies of vero pergandei, and a few californicus. I found a good amount in a small town in phalan.

Ants are Pets, not Pests.

I'd assume they're season 2020 queens who have founded colonies

Well these haven't flown yet this year. They also don't grow to 200 workers in a month.
