I made a small formicarium made of ytong to raise my Camponotus queen, but for some reason she lost all her eggs, I think that maybe the Ytong sucked all the humidity from the eggs, don't know if that's the case but I'm worried about it since I plan moving my colonies to Ytong nests in the future. I hydrate the nest once a week, there's a hole on the top of the nest without connection with the chamber(photo).

I think that maybe adding a substrate to the chambers will help, just like the TarHeelAnts ones. So I thought about mixing sand and elmers glue to create something that I could apply to the chambers, but I'm worried about the elmers glue going bad or something else. What else could I use to make the sand glue to the chamber?

Suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated, thanks.
