Yeah I agree with Ellychnia sp. We find those all the time in MA. These are fireflies but are non-bioluminescent.

If the pronotum does not cover the head this is a Cantharid.

This isn't a firefly. It's a soldier beetle that mimics Ellychnia, probably Atalantycha.

If you want to confirm this, take a close look at its head and check for a large pair of narrow, sickle- like mandibles. You won't see anything like that on a lampyrine firefly.
