I have a  Myrmica queen with two larvae. Should I hibernate her or keep her awake for the winter and try to hibernate in the summer.

 

Also my Lasius umbratus colony is still going strong with a huge pile of cocoons, larvae and eggs. And the workers don't stop.

Again should I try to keep them awake for the winter, hibernate in the summer.

I don't think it really matters, just as long as they are hibernated within a certain amount of time. That's my opinion on it!

I think that you should start hibernating them when they start slowing down and stop foraging
