So I just wanted to ask aomething about my ant which is a Crematogaster which everyone is saying is fully claustral, is it normal for it to be pulling cotton for hours? Like its body and its head are in the tightest part pulling away at the cotton as if it was trying to escape. Also I have like 3-4 inches of open space for it in the test tube, do you people think maybe I should push it in more cause that is why it is pulling the cotton? Like maybe it wants a tighter space? Please help.

You can try putting a very small drop of sugar water with her.  I find that fully claustral queens do occasionally get hungry if they have low amounts of fat stored up.

What temp is she at? She may find the location too cool or too warm.  My Crematogaster loved my heat cable.

Nice to see you posting crystal, your formicarium building posts and videos are some of the best I have seen. Built my formicariums following your instructions and they worked out great! You have done some great work, especially some of the posts you have made! Some of those posts must of taken you all day or more to type! :D
