The ant in mind is the same size as the other workers in the colony, except for its abdomen, which is almost double the size of the other workers and in clear. The ratio seemed to be about 3:1 with their being black ants:yellow(clear) abdomen ants in the colony.
My hypothesis is that maybe it is 2 species working together. I found this in a presumed Argentine ant nest, they traveled in small groups of their kind and seemed to move around skiddishly, not doing much work. It's anntenae are bent like an ants so i know that much. I'm certain it isn't a queen, because of the size, but if it is that would be cool. (I say this because it is an argentine ant nest).
Pictures coming soon.
