Btw, on an unrelated note: has anyone heard of the documentary: The Besieged Fortress? If so, does anyone have a link?

I wasn't going to link torrents or link Youtube (the exact same thing is happening as far as copyright goes). Google will find them all pretty easily.

 

But, you missed one of the better ones. It has E. O. Wilson in it talking about why he named certain species and shows his line drawings, covers lots of different species, just a good overview of ants in general, etc.

I have and I did find a YT video of it a long time ago, albeit in pretty poor quality and it was narrated in French. I doubt I can retrieve the link.
