What kind of ventilation pipe is impossible for ants to climb?

What kind of ventilation pipe is impossible for ants to climb?

If i'm not mistaken, some species can't walk up vertical surfaces, and some can't grip PVC at all.. Depending on the age of the bunker, i wouldn't be surprised that the pipe is made of PVC.
