...Ever gonna ship to NorCal?

His homepage here says he doesn't ship.

He can change it.
A lot of people may not like it, but he's part of GAN, so no he won't ship.

Oldmantrashcan ships nurbs ants right? If so, nurbs technically ships, if not directly.

This weekend had some decent flights, lots of salsas, a lot more than last year.

Surprised at how anemic the C. quercicola flight was at Chaney. Only found three of those, so none for sale. We may be on a shortage of colas this season. Also not a lot of red C. vicinus, but I'll put those up regardless.

I know you guys like single queen sales, so here they are! They will come in a standard test tube setup, ready to go.

C. sansabeanus, 2 for $20, 5 for $40

C. vicinus, red variety, 2 for $40

C. clarithorax, non-poly, 3 for $20

C. clarithorax, poly, 3 for $40

Several of you asked if C. sansabeanus are poly, my answer is I'm not sure!

I do have two colonies of these with multiple queens from Chaney, but there were other setups where the queens eventually killed the other.

What you can do is set up multiple queens in a "tubs and tubes" setup with several test tube setups. Leave them there for a day or two. The queens will gather around other queens, and if they are not aggressive towards one another you can try and put them together. Since we all grabbed a lot it's definitely worth a try IMO.

I put three sansa together last night and when I got home all three were almost dead. Another Sansa died solo. I fed Three to my cockerelli and one to my Pogonomyrmex. Colony.

Lol had to read that like 3 times before i realized you were talking about the ones that died. I was like 'what!? You caught queens to feed to your colonies!?'

Damn. Yeah I put 3 of my clarithorax together today and they didn’t seem too happy to be together so I abandoned my plan to put all 4 together. Instead I just kept those 3 together since they were already together and put the last one in a tube by itself so I’ll at least have one survive, maybe lol.

You guys have to give them breathing room. Any queens you put together in a small space and they are moving about in a collection container will trigger them to spray formic acid.

That's why you setup a large bin. I'll do it tonight with the clarithorax and see what happens.

Ah got it. They seem to have settled in with each other after I gave them some sugar water. They’re ok with each other now. We’ll see how it turns out

I’ll use the tub approach when I combine some salsas later tonight
