Hey guys so I've been recently looking at different sites to find a Formicarium that I liked and believed would do the job. I have narrowed my options to 3 Formicariums from different sites and I wanted to ask if anyone had any reviews/tips on these Formicariums so that it would help me come to a decision.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st Formicarium: Tarheel Ants Nucleus 4x8 Type ll

What I like about this Formicarium is that it has a more natural look and would be great for display. Easy watering system and provides 64 square inches nest space. Also the material will be good for my Tetramorium colony due to them not going to be able to dig it. Price is 140$ though.

2nd Formicarium: AntsCanada Hybrid Nest Small (Lasius version)

This Formicarium looked very interesting to me. I liked how simple it was from Mikey's youtube video on it. 4x4 nest space and for 50$. If I did decide on getting this Formicarium I would buy 2.

3rd Formicarium: AntsCanada Omni Nest Large

I really liked the design of it and the price. Very nice looking Formicarium and provides 7.83" x 7.83" x 0.78" nest space. Price is 90$ fairly reasonable. Only thing is shipping might be a lot and possibly customs.

What ever you do don't buy the Omni nest, all of my colonies hated it. I buy from Tarheelants and I am a very happy customer. What species of ant are you buying for? If you are buying for Tetramorium you should get the Tetramorium hybrid nest if you choose to go that way.

Currently Keeping:
Trachymyrmex septentrionalis

Pheidole pilifera

Forelius sp. (Monogynous, bicolored) "Midwestern Forelius"
Crematogaster cerasi

Pheidole bicarinata

Aphaenogaster rudis

Camponotus chromaiodes

Formica sp. (microgena species)

Nylanderia cf. arenivega

If you choose to get the Tetramorium nest from antcanada, you might get one quicker than expected as I just canceled my order of the same item.
