Ants drilling into cotton

Well my tetras have decided to drill into the cotton holding the water back in there test tube, what should I do?

If you watched CalifornianAnts on YouTube he showed a video of his Tetramorium colony doing the exact same thing.

The best advice from me is to leave the test tube open in an outworld so if it does flood they have an easy exit.
