We are not making up new rules. The law states that "plant pests" may not be transported across state lines. This topic has already been discussed a million times. There is no clear understanding of which species are considered "plant pests" by the USDA, therefor to be on the safe side, this has pretty much been accepted to include all species of ants. That is the understanding of the law that we're going with on this forum.

Just so you guys know, no matter how close someone lives to you, if ants have to cross a State line to get to their destination, someone will have to break the law to get them there.

You can get a permit that will allow ant transport actually.  From the USDA.

I use crystal clear testubes, and maintain them properly. I consider my rearing of queens "high quality", or at least that is my goal. I've only had 2 deaths with queens, both were replaced or in Josephs case fair (we traded and his queen was infertile unfortunately). I will give a refund or replacement if available when a queen dies from the time between me shipping, and the second of arrival, as long as proper pictures and/or video proof is displayed. I hope to get a bunch of queens in the spring, so be ready to see a ton of new species arriving to the shop soon.

Thanks,
Kevin
