I found this queen ant last night while I was taking the trash out. I quickly caught her and am needing an id.
Location: Saint George,Utah found among the rocks and leaf litter next to my drive way.
Description: shiny black abdomen and head, dark reddish brown thorax. About 8mm total body length.
No known colonies in the area that would have produced this queen, so she must have traveled a bit.

Thanks for your help!
