I managed to dig her, her workers, and eggs/larva up. They move at a fast pace and kind of a dark gold color. Sorry for the poor photos, it's all I could manage to get plus they rotated on me.

I believe you are right. The workers look similar to those I Googled in photos. Found them last night here in central Texas (sorry should of gave a location before hand to help) lol.
