I acquired this queen last summer. After she reared a couple workers, most of the workers and brood died. This is because the THA atom formicarium (this is the older model, the newer model is supposed to have fixed or significantly reduced the hydration issue.) they where in did not hold water very good. After a couple days the colony almost died. I put her into hibernation with only 1 worker. I took them out this week and they have laid a batch of eggs.

When Lasius queens lose their workers, they usually don't recover, in my experience.

This queen seems to be pretty tough. She only had a couple workers and still has one. I hope she can do well as she is the only one I have of this species.
