I am not slightly familiar with Australian ants but I think the second group of photos with the workers looks like Melophorus because their shape and size differences, I'm not sure about the queen though, maybe a different species in the same genus?

So I managed to find a queen in the park on the sunny and hot summer afternoon.

I think she is the queen of this species, I am not 100% sure though. The have multiple castes of workers and run very fast under the sun.

Any suggestions?

WOW, your guess is pretty close. Correction: I looked up on google and one species of this genus is red honey pot ant! They are active during hot days, which fits what I observed. On another hand, I am no 100% sure about the queen. I did put a minor worker of the second set photo to test and the queen has communicated with the minor worker. So I would say 60% possibility? Furthermore, I was wondering why the queen get so fat like honey pot...maybe this is why. I will observe further and report back later. On another hand, I better build a wide vertical nest now, if this is really the case. Thanks for your answer.
