Hi guys

1. Location of collection: On the wall outside near my apartment door. I live on the West end of the Island of St.Thomas USVI

2. Date of collection: Late August, sorry I don't remember exactly when. But def 3-4 months ago after days of rain.

3. Habitat of collection: Lots of lush bush, trees, mountainous area.

4. Length: Sorry I don't have the exact length. She is in a THA inception chamber for "medium" ants.

5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Her body and gaster is very dark/black, the gaster does seem to have some parts that differ in color that is lighter than the rest of her body. Body is smooth and shiny.

6. Distinguishing characteristics:

7. Anything else distinctive: Her workers are smaller than her but not by a lot. the second generation is noticeably larger than the first.
8. Nest description:

9 . I've posted a short video. Please excuse the loud tv and my gf being into the show (Marvels Jessica Jones :) haha) If need be ill borrow the gf's awesome phone again for more pics.

thanks guys!

Random guess that is in no way 100% certain: Crematogaster sp.

Not Crematogaster. This is a Camponotus species.
