I recently started putting out a black light to attract moths. My little CA-02 colony is crazy about them. They will reluctantly go for my cut up meal worms but will swarm a moth like it is candy. I assume they get moths in the wild regularly.

Hello WiteBeam,

I realized how much the Camponotus ants in my area like moths while observing a wild colony where I saw the leftover wings and husks in their trash.   Moths are often attracted to the window by my plant lights that are on at night, and I catch them easily there.   I feed my colonies mostly meat products, they don't seem to like mealworms or superworms that much.   They certainly enjoy the odd moth as a treat and eat them "like candy".

My father always said I had ants in my pants.
