I have been looking on the internet for cheap ant nest so I can move my camponotus colony and a few tetramorium colonies in spring. I am looking for a nest under 50 dollars but big enough to keep my colony in for at least a year. I don't trust myself to make a nest, becuase knowing myself, I will probably make a dumb mistake and kill my colony. My ant colony has about 25 workers and a good amount of larva. Any ideas?

I bought one of these from ExponentMars earlier in the year. Best thing I’d recommend on a budget. https://www.formicul...le/#entry242317

ExponentMars has some pretty good stuff for decent prices, as the other user above has said. I also sometimes make nests for commission, so please send me a PM if you're interested in seeing pictures of models I have previously worked on. I usually have them anywhere between 15 and 45 USD including shipping, depending on size.

I'd second Zhuge. For under 50 bucks a mini-hearth is probably gonna be a good idea.

Whether or not they last a year depends on how you keep your colony, but if you wanna go budget then tub and tube works well for way under $50. But for around that much you can get two cubes and a small outworld from me that will last you a good while.

Check out my nests!
