Hello again! Thank you to those who responded to my first request: Very grateful to be part of this community (and hoping I learn more so I can start contributing!). I have another ID request:
1. Location of collection: Rogers Park, in Chicago, IL.
2. Date of collection: Late Sept. - Early Oct.
3. Habitat of collection: Sidewalk, seeming to originate from a nest in the cracks (although caught scrambling across the concrete). Also near wood chips, grass, and trees.
4. Length: Approx. 5mm. Could not remove from enclosure for fear of disturbing.
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Light, golden color (looks darker in pics, almost honey-colored in real life), iridescent gaster, slightly darker thorax. No hair that I can identify.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: No petiole nodes or spines/bumps that I can identify, waist seems to be very short, almost non-existent. Unsure of antennal segments.
7. Anything else distinctive: Tucks herself into the wet cotton, mostly sedentary.
8. Nest description: Unsure, found on concrete (see above).
9. Nuptial flight time and date: Did not witness.
Thanks again!
