I hope I'm posting this in the correct sub!
I have a beautiful little Themnothorax nylanderi colony which lives in a little wooden nest. I made this nest myself using a dremel and some of our dried willow firewood which I then glued to the side of a plastic container serving as their outworld. They moved in there within an hour after placing their testtube in there!
Quite a few workers died after I just got them which worried me...but boy did they bounce back
When I came back from vacation I noticed they had produced an alate!
Thinking of maybe adding another little nest space for them as I'm curious whether the colony will expand with more room. Any thoughts on this?
This is their setup:

I hope the images work lol
