commonly known as the hunchback ants. they look very cool and are quite big. Though they arent polymorphic, they have worker sizes ranging from 4-8mm

Just look at the brood pile! I had not fed them anything. They also had a trash pile before i fed them anything. I want to keep them in a visually appealing setup, but i want to increase their population first. When i fed them a bit of honey soaked in tissue, even the queen came to drink, leaving the brood pile completely unattended! Very cool ants, update soon!

Update

I put the tube into a box with sand and a honey testube and a flavoured candy testube.
They accepted raw chicken, and i don't think they are very interested in boiled egg. They are very shy, probably because they are a young colony, and hopefully they come out of the testube more when the colony grows.

Another thing i have noticed is that, the ants tend to stand on 4 legs and use the other 2 legs as “hands”. I have tried to take a picture of it when a worker was drinking from the test tube. Even when i fed the chicken, they tore it apart to small pieces and consumed it in a similar way. Ill try getting better pictures of them doing this. It looks very cool

also, i have to leave house for a week. I fed them a but more chicken and cleared it out, and the sugar sources are there. Hopefully nothing bad happens, to both my ant colonies.
